The following article conveys some of the issues that arise when working with homeless that are mentally ill. The article aims to summarize the nature of the issue, while offering approaches that are currently being used to assist some of Hawaii’s most destitute. The article offers perspective into why many are advocating for more resources for Housing First funding, while at the same time organizing collaborative approaches for addressing and ending homelessness.
